Restaurant Eucalyptus

The restaurant Eucalyptus is an excellent and atmospheric place in the centre of Cuenca.
The menu is filled with irresistible dishes, these can all be ordered as a small or a large option. This way it is a bit easier to choose since you can order two small dishes for a main course. Make sure that if you decide to go for two small dishes, one of these two is the fabulous Pad Thai.
Cocktails like Piña Colada are also quite nice.
Prices are a bit higher than the average restaurant prices in Ecuador, but it is absolutely worth it!

We were impressed by the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. They prentend to offer international menu a la carte. The cook just does not seem to know how to prepare proper meals. Changing tables because suddenly they realized our table was already reserved. Even if you order spicy satayed chicken they forget the satay sauce. And when you get the sauce it appears that it has almost no taste at all. (card says spicy!). The ceviche (seafood with lemon sauce) was more soup than food. We had to wait very very long for the service. And after 21.30 they had live music, which they wanted us to pay for also, which we refused and we left.
