Restaurant Egå Marina Ega Reviews
Not what I expected Sep 14, 2010
I was going to stay the night in Århus and had arranged to meet one of my colleagues at his work and afterwards visit a restaurant in one of the many harbours close to the city. He had chosen a restaurant in the Egå Marina which was not far from his work.
We arrived at the harbour just as a rainstorm started so we both ran into the restaurant and probably looked like two wet dogs. The restaurant was larger than I had anticipated; the place was quite empty and the first thing the waiter said was that the kitchen was closing in 40 minutes.
We looked at the menu and I choose an Italian mix as a starter and a plaice fillet; which pretty much is a Danish national dish. The starter was okay but nothing special; I felt it was something I could have put together myself and quite fast. The main course looked nice but my plaice fillet had been fried too much; not a lot but enough to annoy me. I usually really enjoy plaice, and especially served on the west coast of Jutland.
The waitress was sweet but not enough to make up for the cooks mistake.
