Aug 21, 2006 The Whaler is really just a bunch of condos. but it was great. i like feeling like I was at home, (i.e dishwasher, dishes, silverware, blankets, blender, paper towels . . .ICE!!!). The lanai (balcony) was nice . . .and it was fairly private. the place is so safe that you could leave your lanai doors open all night while you sleep! the housekeeping was really nice . .i actually didn't need them to clean up, but they did anyways. the view from my suite was good. Beware of the hottub . . .it was too hot!  Part of the Maui 2006 travel blog
