Affordable large quarters near the University of Pittsburgh and CMU Jul 05, 2008
The Residence Inn Pittsburgh is a mid-sized hotel near the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon campuses. It is typical of the Marriott/Residence Inn standard. The beds are quite comfortable and the pool area is very nice. Rooms are outfitted typically with 1 King or 2 double beds plus a sofa bed. All rooms include a kitchenette with refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink and a small amount of cooking utensils. Desks are also available in the room for those traveling for business.
The location is excellent, with easy access to the universities, Shadyside and the Strip District. Public transportation would be somewhat problematic from this spot, but in all reality it is poor all over the city. NOTE: parking costs $13/day  Part of the Pittsburgh travel blog |
