 To avoid at all costs Nov 19, 2005
Outside of downtown (already not that great), Memphis has very little to offer in terms of hotels. The Marriott Memphis, however, definitely falls in the "worse than average" category. The property is significantly outdated and has not been refurb...read entire review at TravelPost.com

Don't bother with this place Sep 22, 2005
I expected great things from the Marriott, but I was sorely disappointed. Check-in was horrible, it took nearly 30 minutes. The staff was rude and made me feel like I was not good enough to stay at their hotel.
