Rental Car - Autowise Toronto & Advantage Car Hire

BEWARE...BEWARE...BEWARE !

I booked a car with Advantage Rental Car online. Turns out their representative in Toronto is Autowise. DON'T USE THEM. Not only did they charge me more than the rate confirmed online (because my plane was late arriving in, so they cancelled my booking) but they were rude and acted like they didn't know a thing about being in the travel business! They then didn't remove a $500 hold on my credit card for the initial deposit, despite going ahead and charging me for the full rental amount!!! I complained to Advantage Rental Car and they ended up being very good and reimbursed me for the amount I was out of pocket, but Autowise were no help whatsoever. So BEWARE of Autowise Toronto and I'd say anywhere else they are located. There was a strong sense they were only in business to get as much profit as possible with no concern for the customer. They are really just small-fry in a big market, so there are plenty of other car hire places to use that will be much better.
