Interests
Love hiking, camping, exploring, food and wine. I'll try anything at least once (food-wise). I work out 5-6 days a week to counter the fact that I love good food...staying in good physical condition is also important to me for walking/hiking/trekking. Love traveling around and discovering new places. Love fantasy and science fiction books/movies/TVs shows, conversation, great sex, intelligent people, adventuresome people and exploring. Which I think is different than discovering...you can discover, but then you have to explore to uncover and understand. HUGE fan of conversation...especially after a few drinks. Give me a topic and I'll talk about it with you, with great gusto :)
Books you might find in my backpack
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Maybe a copy of Asimov's or another spec-fic zine. Whatever latest book I feel like reading (fantasy and sci-fi). Never a travel guide. I generally do my research online before I head to a destination and then just immerse myself into the environment and culture without a guide telling me where to do/what to do. I kind of like to just explore and immerse, even if I don't speak the language.
Music you might find me listening to while waiting for my plane
Hmm. I'm not a music junkie. I enjoy music, love a lot of bands, but don't even own an MP3. My taste runs the gamut from Jethro Tull to Muse to Tool to System of a Down to Nightwish to Lada Gaga to Kylie Minogue to Led Zeppelin, and even a little bit of country. There is very little I don't like, but I don't really pay attention to trends in music or have anything downloaded on my computer.
Most Memorable Travel Experience
I've spent a lot of the last 10 years traveling throughout Europe, with most of that time spent in the Mediterranean, Aegean and Bulgaria (including 2.5 years living in Sofia). They were all memorable. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's the truth. Good, bad...I don't really single any of them out. My favorite trip, however, has probably been a 2 week excursion across Italy, moving town to town, with 3 days spent in Rome. Or perhaps the time spent in Bodrum scuba diving and just enjoying the epic flavors of Turkish cuisine. Not really sure!
Profile
I'm a freelance writer performing SEO, copy writing/editing, journalism, travel writing, fiction and basically whatever my clients need on a month-to-month basis.
I also dabble in No Limit Texas Hold 'em over at Full Tilt Poker, and I'm slowly building up to the point where I think I can probably pay for 50% of my living expenses on a monthly basis from my earnings later in 2010. Grinding online poker ftw!

For now, yes. I like the area, the vibe, the location. I'm staying till March at the earliest, and I'll probably just go ahead and apply for my FM3 this spring of 2011, and use Cancun as my base of operations for the next couple of years. I'm sure I'll explore more, but I'm pretty happy with the Mayan Riviera presently.
