Renaissance Hotel Hollywood

This hotel is a great spot for those who are hanging out in Hollywood for a couple of days. It is located near the intersection of Hollywood and Highland and is next to the Hollywood and Highland shopping and entertainment complex and the Kodak Theater.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Parking at the hotel is valet only and costs over $25 or so a night. However if you don't mind a walk though the mall you can park in the underground lot for $10 over night.

The hotel has all the amenities including a roof top pool, spa, bar and restaurant. Next door there are more restaurants, shops, nightclubs, an upscale bowling alley and a movie theater. Plus all the touristy shops out on the boulevard. Also for those attending a concert at the Hollywood Bowl this is perfect as it is just down the road.

The rooms are on the small side and the bathrooms even smaller, however it very clean and nicely decorated. The best part of our room was the view - we had a room that faced north that looked out over the Hollywood hills including the famous Hollywood sign. (Though you can see some buildings and alleyways down below)

This hotel is on the expensive side, but I have stayed here a couple of times and recommend it if Hollywood is your destination.
