Renaissance Hotel Downtown Toronto Reviews
Great Location, expensive....but try it once. Apr 19, 2009
I was headed to a Blue Jays game and I wanted to stay close to the stadium. The Rogers Centre actually has a hotel in it, and thats why I selected the Downtown Renaissance Hotel. It was more expensive than other hotels in the area, but the convenient location was worth the extra money. First of all, you are actually at the stadium, so if you are going to a game it makes this experience even better. There is a small restaurant that overlooks the field. I had lunch there and watched batting practice. It was snowing outside, and this was an added reason as to why the location was great. Some of the hotels overlook the field, but they cost more money.
The CN Tower is also right outside, and the Air Canada Centre is just a half mile away. Add the fact that the hotel overlooks Lake Ontario, and you are looking at why the location can not be beat. As far as the rooms go, they were actually really nice. It was by far the most comfortable bed that I had ever slept it. I did not want to leave! The only thing that sucked was that they charged 15 dollars a day to use the internet in the room. They have free wireless internet downstairs, but who wants to sit downstairs for every time they need the internet? If you can afford 150 a night, then I suggest trying this place out. |

Great service, Easy booking Aug 08, 2007
This hotel is located downtown Toronto, yet not to much in the hustle and bustle. It is located on the Lake Shore overlooking a beautiful water scene. It also over-looks an open Theater where they show live performances. They have a wonderful rest...read entire review at TravelPost.com

While we were there, there was a convention of prostitutes being provided with the best rooms while everyday guests were provided with rooms that were filthy and actually still had moist body fluid stains on the bed covers, carpets and chairs. We ...read entire review at TravelPost.com
