Arriving in the afternoon, really tired after a long fligh, it was very nice meeting such good service and friendly staff members. The beds are so nice, spacious rooms, clean bathrooms - all you need! Even complimentary coffe/tea or cocoa in the mornings! Quiet neighbourhood, close to Oak Brook ShoppingMall. Great view from the 9th floor restaurant. Loved the drinking glasses there...
Leaving again in the early morning - pre-ordered a taxi for 5:15 AM, the taxi took us a to the O'Hare airport and gave us a tip on where to go for a quick check in. Perfect :-)

It was easy to find the taxies outside, and got one instantly, he had no idea where our hotel was. But with a little help from his little book, he found it, and we helped him read the lines for the fee to pay.... USD 45.00. Checking in at The Renaissance Hotel was just a pleasure. …to organize our luggage, get ready for breakfast and enjoy a very nice breakfast in 2100 Blue Restaurant on the 9th floor at The Renaissance Hotel Chicago. My aunt and uncle came to pick us up at 9 AM, and we drove home to their place to meet up with my cousin and the kids second cousins. So nice to see them all. :) Back at the hotel, we were happy for the most part with our accommodations at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel . Our room was on the fifth floor. Dave had hoped for a room higher in the building especially given that we were not a late check-in. But otherwise… Arriving in Lauderale - The Journey Begins
