Renaissance Barcelona Airport Hotel El Prat De Llobregat

We were robbed at this hotel when we pulled up in front for check-in. My husband and two young daughters were in the van when a man approached my husband's door. He initially thought it was the valet guy. Instead, it was a distracter while another man pulled our bags out of the passenger side of the van. It all happened in seconds in broad daylight with people standing around and three men pulled away in a black bmw stationwagon. They got our passports, cameras, all of our pictures for the first 17 days of our european trip, insulin, syringes (this was the most difficult to deal with) all of our credit cards, etc. The front desk staff said this happens at least once per month and they have undercover police there on the weekend. It is a known issue but they only protect their employees on the weekend? I guess we should have arrived three hours later. Marriott has refused to reimburse us for what was stolen and the long term effects it has had on my husband and girls. It was a complete nightmare and has overshadowed our entire european vacation...Do not stay at this hotel.
