Remagen, Germany is a site of a World War II battle. The American 9th Armor Division were the first infantry soldiers to cross the Rhine river, which prevented the Allies from invaded across west.

It was at Remagen, thet US General Dwight D. Eisenhower said that the Allies " would cross the Rhine with dry feet.

Today at the Freidensbucke bridge there is a Peace Memorial museum that is dedicated to both sides of people on the sides of the Allies and Axis powers.
