 Cheap hotel near the U-bahn Sep 07, 2008
This hotel is located near the Tegel Airport. We paid € 38 per room on Saturday night and € 33 on the other nights without breakfast. There’s a bakery and a big Supermarket at the end of the street. The location is perfect as it is on walking distance from the U-bahn station Kurt-Schumacher-Platz. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the city centre.
There’s a Sikh temple in front of the hotel and an evangelist cemetery around. Some people will think it’s spooky (not referring the temple), but we enjoy the silence. The pillows are horrible though, but that’s something German I think. The pillows are so soft that your head sink directly to the mattress.
