The beautiful Lofoten islands are located north of the arctic circle in Northern Norway. There are a lot of gorgeous fishing villages. Amongst them Reine is the most popular. In the late 1970's it was voted the most beautiful place in Norway.
Just a stone's throw away the 448 m high Reinebriggen offers a spectacular view of the village, Kjerkfjord and the Lofoten islands. The trailhead is close to the village 200 m away from the Ramsviktunnel. A very steep path leads to the viewpoint on the saddle. It took me about 60-70 minutes to reach the top. At some points I had to crawl on all fours. The stunning view compensates for the tremendous effort. A must-do when you visit the archipelago! Note: Please excuse the quality of the two pictures. I am going to re-scan them asap.
