No way were we going to let a little snow keep us from the rest of our journey!  From Waterloo, we got back into my car and headed up through the Forêt de Soignes and the Bois de la Cambre into the center of town.  I've never actually stopped in these parks, but they look beautiful and I would love to wander and explore a little some time. Spent the weekend with 2 coworkers in Brussels. Five-star hotel, countless waffles, day-trip out to Bruges, and mini-Europe. Perfect.

I celebrated my 30th birthday by taking my 1st trip to Europe! 2 nights in Amsterdam, 8 nights cruising to Brussels, Paris, Santiago de Compostela, Lisbon, Tangier, and 2 nights in Barcelona. Cheers!

We arrived in Amsterdam a full hour early, so we checked the train schedules.  We had tickets for an overnight train to Salzburg that left at 20:00, so we decided to spend the day in Belgium.  The day was cold and rainy, but hey, I get to add another country to my list and another spoon to my collection! After a 12 hour bus trip we arrived tired and hazy in a new city....BRUSSELS! All Johhny was thinking was beer and all I was thinking was chocolate!!!As it was only 6am and hostels dont let you check in till 2pm we chose to leave the bags there and hit the town. ok this is going to be a blog just about all the beers that i tasted on my travels. it will be a good way to document all the tastys in the world.just so you know beer is my drink of choice..... i try to only zasze a beer at the country in which it has been brewed bu sometimes i get a bit carried away, like after i have alreday had a few...also if one of my beers has the wrong information about it, could you please tell me, even if it is saying the wrong town or city that it was produced in

In mid June we went on a short weekend excursion to Brussels, Belgium.

Our autumn-trip to Brussels, Belgium. The city was nice with a old history. Nice arcitecture and churches I was a little bit desappointed because it was rainy the whole weekend :-(

I was lucky to travel to Paris for 3days, Brugge(Belgium)also for 3 days and then I went on a bicycle trip from Passau(Germany) to Vienna(Austria). The trip was about 400km all the way down the Danube. Relaxing enjoing the beauty of the river and the everchanging scernery

My fine chocolate obsession (some say addiction) naturally draws me back to the Brussels the home of some of the best chocolate in the world. Brussels while perhaps not as fancy as Paris still has a number of advantages. It takes itself less serious than Paris and is often more friendly and afforadable. It has the same if not better selection of good chocoltiers ans the photos show ..
