Reggae Beach, Jamaica
Reggae Beach Reviews
Stunning place Apr 27, 2011
Reggae Beach is located 5 kilometres from Ocho Rios and is a place that sometimes arranges huge concert gatherings on the beach. We drove along the coastal road until we almost by coincidence saw a small sign to the Reggae Beach.
The area was fenced in and out the gate a summer dressed girl with a large hat was greeting us. She said that she needed 9½ US dollar from each of us to get in; which is pretty steep and really makes it sure that not that many locals stay there.
There was a short road down to the Grill and behind that there were some parking spaces where we found a good spot in the shadow. The beach was lovely to say the least; the sand was white and the water was all different colours in blue, green and turquoise. The water had the same temperature as the air.
We were quite alone on the beach and it was a great place to stay and just take a rest from the much busy Ocho Rios.
