We have just got back from a 3 week stay at Reef Retreat on Boracay Island and had an AMAZING time. The hotel is located on Bulabog Beach and is just across from the waters edge. We found it a lot quieter than being on White Beach which is very festive at Easter and other peak holiday periods. Our personal choice is that we preferred this and found the quick walk across to White Beach no hassle at all – even with 2 young kids (approx 5min). We enjoyed both beaches and would often go across to White Beach for late afternoon sundowners and a leisurely stroll along the beach to choose the style of food we felt like eating for the evening.

The hotel is newly built and the rooms are clean and comfortable. If you are looking for flashy luxurious finished, this is not for you. Matt and Clair the owners, took the decision when building to keep the hotel and it’s rooms in line with the local feel and style of the island and have done a great job.

We found the accommodation to be everything we needed. The staff were friendly, courteous and provided outstanding service. We made use of the Airport Transfer Service offered and were met at the airport and escorted all the way to our room with everything swiftly taken care of for us and I highly recommend it.

Clair and Matt are very friendly and always available to help organise or suggest places to see or things to do. They arranged a very enjoyable half day trip on a boat around the island visiting beaches and all the snorkelling spots. This was one of the high lights of our stay.

If you are a windsurfer or kite boarder, this is the perfect place for you!! There is a kite centre and a windsurf centre both right on your doorstep. I would wake up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and be on the water in minutes, blasting across crystal waters in nothing more than a harness and board shorts – PARADISE. The wind in the windy season blows constantly day after day and if your other half is not into water sports she is only a few minutes away from White Beach, world class spas or perfect sunbathing on a comfortable longer with a dink in her hand – her PARADISE.

We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend Reef Retreat. We are already planning our next visit!!
