Redwood National Park Vacation Guide
Redwood National Park is located in the northern part of California close to the coast right on the highway going to Oregon. The park is home to some of the last remaining ancient redwood trees in the world.
Previously these trees were growing all along the California coast from a bit south of San Francisco up to the southern part of Oregon. After the rapid development in California most of the giant redwoods were cut down and used for the constructions of new homes in San Francisco - only a few remain.
In Redwood National Park there is still plenty of redwood and there is several hiking trails which will lead the visitor past the giants. One of the trails will lead the visitor to the tallest trees in the world today.

"Hey do you want to see some really big trees?""No."To give her credit, Janelle said no when she was half asleep and regretted her quick answer later, but, hey, I took a picture for her!
