Redstreak Campground Radium Hot Springs Reviews
Luxury Camping Sep 13, 2014
If you have your own sleeping bag or linen then a stay in one of the parks permanent tents (oTENTiks) is highly recommended.
There is no electricity in the rooms which can sleep up to 6 but a battery powered light was provided. I believe some sites in other parks do provide powered facilities.
You still need to use the communal toilets and showers but hot water and power was available to the ablution blocks.
I am in my element when staying in these sort of parks and it is so pleasing to see all the natural wildlife and to be part of it. There is no roadside noise to worry about just the sounds of animals.
The park is only 2km from the town centre up a steep hill and into the Kootenay Park boundary. From here you can take the track and walk to the Radium Hot Springs.
Booking for any of the permanent tent sites can be done online and for me any additional camping that I do will be to try and stay at one if these parks.
The tents are really for families and are a fixed price irrespective of the number of people staying in them.
