Redmond Vacation Guide
Redmond is suburban city about 30 minutes outside of Seattle. Redmond is most famous for being home to Microsoft and Nintendo of America. It has an annual bike race through the downtown and has the only velodrome in Washington. It also has a 560 acre park (Marymoor) with a rock climbing wall, multiple soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts, outdoor theater, and a model airplane flying park.
The downtown area has many businesses, including the outdoor mall - Redmond Town Center. There are also two golf courses within the city limits. The private one is Bear Creek Golf Course and the public one is Trilogy Golf Course. Lake Sammamish is right next to Marymoor Park and offers beaches and boat launches. The 520 freeway starts in Redmond and provides a straight shot to Seattle.
