VODKA HEAVEN!!!! Oct 25, 2008
Those who know me, I AM LOVE VODKA, PREFERABLY GREY GOOSE. every vodka connoisseur REQUIRES to eat/social/drink here. i have been here many times. i try to taste unusual vodkas from all over. i have tired vodkas from japan, Korea, France (of course :P), NL, Poland, Ukraine, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and of course Russia :)
they had an extended list of vodkas. don't waste your money with vodkas you can buy in the USA in liquor stores. i have not tried the food yet. however, the menu is quite tempting. i love would love to have foie gras with my vodka. it is very busy here. i would reserve if you want to dine here. the bar is always open. you can sit at the bar or the community table to social. there are also other drinks you can order, martini's, infused vodkas, and others. it is not just vodkas. SORRY NO "HAPPY HOUR" deals and it opens at 5pm. HERE IS A SAMPLE OF THEIR MENU: Appetizers Lobster Bisque Siberian Nachos Seared Foie Gras, Baked Apples and French Toast Steak Tartare Smothered Blini Entrees Roquefort Filet Mignon Hazelnut Crusted Australian Rack of Lamb Blackened Ahi Tuna Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Fennel Spiced Duck Confit Chicken Kiev Salmon Kulebyaka Strozapretti Stroganoff New York Strip Steak desserts the chocolate cake warm flourless chocolate cake, vanilla-bourbon ice cream, strawberry-infused melba sauce chocolate trilogy chocolate ice cream cookie, chocolate mousse, chocolate tiramisu bananas foster cheesecake banana cheesecake, toasted coconut ice cream, caramelized bananas, caramel-rum chocolate sauce "absolut" ely lemon lemon cream cake with white chocolate ganache, lemon chiffon meringue, lemon zest sorbet, citron-infused absolut vodka drizzle |

Russian Swank at Red Square May 21, 2008
Russian might not be the first thing people think of in Las Vegas cuisine, but Red Square is a must-dine. Dark, romantic tables are surrounded by Russian posters and heavy drapery creating a hip and upscale dining area. The menu offers modern takes on traditional Russian and international dishes (particularly good were the duck and the beef stroganoff). The must-see however is the bar, which has been featured in various travel magazines (and is even rated highly by Playboy). In addition of having an extremely extensive vodka list (over 200 kinds), Red Square features a unique icebar and vodka vault.
The bar can get busy in the evenings as Mandalay Bay has become increasingly popular, but the restaurant likely only needs reservations on weekends. |

…like really dressing up and going out so we opted to check out some of the bars at the Mandalay Bay and grab a vodka at the Req Square since Melanie had never been there. How on earth can she be the self-proclaimed Grey Goose queen and never been to the main vodka place in town!
We arrived at Red Square only to feel completely underdressed when we looked inside and saw people… Shall we pop up to his room and say, "Hi Mum!" ?? |
