Not on the Strip, but Definitely Has it's Own Entertainment! Jul 06, 2008
Red Rock's serene surroundings, distinctive décor, and impeccable standard of service ensure that your visit is flawless and fabulous. Whether relaxing in the expansive pool back yard, playing your hand at Poker or savoring a first-class meal, this resort has a flavor for all vacation tastes and desires. Several of us stayed here during the Vegas meet-up #2 and I was thoroughly satisfied with the hotel. The one thing we didn’t like in the design was that all the elevators were at one end. If your rooms were at the other end (as ours were) it took forever to get to your room. And the curved hallway didn’t help after a long night of drinking (just ask Joy! hehe). Price range is pretty high, especially since it is not on the Strip. Packages can start out at around 300USD for two nights, higher on the weekends and during special events.

Red Rock, an incredible rocking prefered hotel with ambiance Apr 10, 2008
At an average rate of $300 per night, I would not stay any where else. You get more than you paid for if you choose the Red Rock Resort. I just returned from a weekend trip to Las Vegas where I attented a Travbuddy Meet Up: O my God, you have to see my blog on the Las Vegas Travbuddy meet to see a piece of the hotel. The style and ambiance is rich, welcoming and homey (for luck of a more expressive word, lol!). The combination of red gren and brown colors creat such a hospitable feeling.
The bed in the room was absolutely soothing and huggy, lavish beddings and top of the chart hi-definition TV in the bedroom and bathroom o'my god. The bath tub I can not describe, I have included a picture of me in the tub to help you get the picture of what I'm trying to say, lol!
Hall way to the rooms, don't you…

WOW!
I enjoy finding hotels that are not on the hussle and bussle of the Las Vegas strip. THIS IS ONE. Red Rock is the sister resort to the Green Valley Ranch which you may have seen on the show American Casino. It is actually located on the NW side of town out in Summerlin. This means that if you are driving or taking a cab, be prepared for up to a 30 minute ride to the airport and 20 minutes to the strip (depending on the end you want to be on). To be honest they should have put the Resort part of the title before the Casino. When you walk in the decor is upscale and very modern chic. Tapestries and great lighting. Posh seating everwhere. However, the one thing you do not see? THE CASINO. They have taken the opportunity to provide a great Casino, it is just not in your face. The staff is extremely attentive and it feels as if there are more of them than guests - which is how it should feel. The rooms were extremely large with all the ameneties of today's upscale hotels. 42" Plasma, high end bathroom soaps and shampoos, soaking tubs or walk in showers. TV behind the mirror in the bathroom, etc. Most of all it was quiet. Since I was there for a meeting - I found the meeting space to be well layed out and away from the main areas of the hotel, but close enough that you did not have to walk 2 miles. The casino was wonderful, good clubs, great steakhouse. This hotel was rated in 2006 as one of the top 'neighborhood' hotels in Las Vegas. Highly recommended. If you have questions just contact me. |

, light snow had accumulated near Red Rock Resort and the western Las Vegas Valley. Snow continued to fall, although it was only sticking to surfaces such as grassy areas and parked vehicles. • About 10 a.m., rain, not snow, was falling at Tropicana Avenue and Pecos Road, according to a Sun reporter… HAS HELL FREEZE OVER???!?!!? |

After the game, my Red Sox won, we drove out to the Red Rock Casino. This is a fairly new and large resort built out by the Red Rock Canyon area. The casino is good. I won another $75 here. We ate at the sushi place. Not very good. I probably would not come back to this… Octoberfest in Vegas |
