I finally found the elusive lobster truck and I hope you do too! Sep 27, 2011
What's better than eating lobster, having it right outside your door. As part of the massive food truck take-over here in DC, the Red Hook Lobster truck is one of the most highly sought after food trucks in the Washington DC area!

Each day, Red Hook Lobster Pound serves up lunch to hundreds of Washingtonians providing a taste of Maine that everyone enjoys. You will find people lined up around the block to get a taste of a fresh Maine-style lobster roll (either poached in butter or mixed with a lemon based mayo sauce) served on a warm roll with a pickle. They also have a shrimp roll, but I'm not sure why you'd stand on line for shrimp when for just $4 more, you could have lobster!

The roll itself is small and you have to consider if you would really pay $15 for it, but for something I can eat once a year, sure-it was an oh so yummy treat! It's was soooo good and I have no regrets about it. Yes, it's real lobster meat

"The Lobster truck" moves from one location to the next and you can track it via it's Twitter account, it's FB page, or on www.foodtruckfiesta.com

If you're visiting DC and have some time to make your way around the city, I recommend tracking it down and indulging (pack your patience-once you find it, the line can be quite long). If you live here in DC, cross your fingers and hope it pops up near your job once day-they can be anywhere from VA to Bethesda. Enjoy! (I know you will).
