Peaceful Rest Oct 24, 2012
This was a very peaceful place to stay whilst on safari. Most guests stay in tents, and this was the fanciest camping trip I've ever been on! The tents were very comfortable. They each contained two beds, a lockable trunk and a bedside cabinet. There were no mosquito nets, but the tent was essentially a giant mosquito net. It was a pleasure to spend 2 nights there!

It is generally quiet, for it is quite a secluded location,a nice change from the craziness of Kampala, and most people are away in the park during the day. However, warthogs and occasionally hippos are prone to wandering about the camp both during the day and at night, and there are strict rules about not keeping food in the tent. The staff will happily keep any food behind the bar if you want to save money by bringing your own... I found this out the hard way when I lost 2 days worth of food to some warthogs! You have been warned!

A nice toilet block with showers as well as a bar serving a mixture of local and western food - though there are only 3 options for dinner as the site is very small and quite far out from nearby towns. This means that you only leave for organised activities in your group - there is literally nothing else to do/see for a few miles. But this wasn't really a problem. If you want to stay up you can sit in the bar area, but I was personally too tired after a full day's activity, plus safari generally means very early mornings!

Enjoyed staying here, but the mozzies are brutal and the generator not being on in the morning proved to be a bit of a hassle.

Typical tourist safari accommodation in "Bandas" - Traditional huts Jun 22, 2008
Red Chilli is superbly located in Murchison falls National Park. The camp offers a wide experience of nature to its guests.

This is a camping lodge with camping facilities: The facility has modern showers, toilets, cooking area, security lighting, Banda accommodation, en-suite bathroom, power and lights, fans and Bandas (traditional huts)

The bonfire is very appealing when you are out there in the wilderness. The prices is very reasonable with a family self contained room costing only USD.55
