Excellent Southwestern cuisine at Reata Restaurant May 11, 2010
A meal at Reata Restaurant in Fort Worth is an experience in Southwestern cuisine. The retaurant's signature entrees are its Texas steaks, prepared to your taste. (The waiter will invite guests to cut into their steaks while he or she watches to ensure it has been correctly prepared.) Also on the menu is Buffalo Rib Eye, another specialty. (I tried this entree and found it tender and juicy.) Reata's unique takes on other Southwestern dishes are also available. (Some can be sampeld as appetizers.)

Reata offers several unique and inviting appetizers. Tenderloin Tamales, Jalapeno and Cheese Elk Sausage, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, and Smoked Quail with Jalapeno Cheddar Grits among them. If a group can't decide on one, Reata has a sampler platter.

Speciality and regular Margaritas are served.

Service was excellent. The price was a bit high, but the food and experience worthwhile. Highly recommended!

cowboy cuisine Oct 03, 2008
True to Fort Worth, when it comes to real cowboy dining this place has perfected the cuisine if there is such. Very nicely decoraded with heavy wooden tables and chairs and large cowboy paintings yet done with class and taste you will feel in awe with this place. Upstrairs on the 3 rd floor there is a outside bar with patio that overlooks the city and is just so much fun to have a drink at. The food is enormously filling with creative twist to steaks, venison and other game. Some southwest is served like tamales but unlike you've ever had. This place is highly recommented and a must for any tourist. You will feel right at home when you wear your boots and cowboy hat.
