Hi Laineeey

Definitely pack for all seasons as per previous advice. Being from that part of the world, it can get pretty cold at the time of year you are travelling and you can pretty much guarantee some rain whilst you are visiting our shores - English rain is cold and very wet!

Travelling on the underground (this only applies to London) with a suitcase can be a nightmare so if you can get away with a small backpack that would be ideal. Try and avoid moving about during the early morning & evening rush-hours as the number of people can be horrendous. Unfortunately there don´t seem to be too many gentlemen left in London willing to lend a hand, although a traveller in distress may receive better treatment than a local I´m sure.

Always find it handy to have a small pad & pen to hand - great for recording travel tips from people you meet/email addresses etc as well as the addresses of places of interest etc etc

You will be able to buy anything that you may have forgotten to bring with you in England, or that you find you need, but with the current strength of the pound the prices could seem very high in comparison to elsewhere (and probably are).

If you wish to go clubbing in London especially you will require a smart pair of shoes or leather boots - flip-flops, trainers and walking boots are a definite no-no. Pubs are a different matter and are pretty easy going on footwear.

Think all the other bases have been covered, but will drop another line if I can think of anything else of use.

Kind regards,

James

Hey there! Thanks for such an interesting advice. :) How much money do I need to survive in the United Kingdom for three weeks? Oh, I have free meals during breakfast and dinner, and an unlimited bus pass in Cambridge. What expenses would cover most of my stay there?
