everytime i am in new orleans for jazzfest, i always stop by razzoo at least 5 times that weekend. the mc's then get to know us such that 2 years ago, they would call us from the stage and say that the "asian chicks" are back; this year, we were labeled as "the la girls" or "california girls." razzoo is just such a fun place where one can just dance to the music. it does get crazy crowded late at night but the music is bumpin and the deejays/mc's are pretty fun. early in the day, although it is not as crowded, the music is still pretty good. of course, one of the things i enjoy is when people go on stage to do crazy stuff. it never ceases to amuse me because someone is almost always too drunk and doing something funny. if you want to get away from the crowded dancefloor, the back area has tables to just chill (although it does get crowded there too). the drinks are cheap, although a bit watered down. but hey, you get what you pay for. that being said, i definitely recommend razzoo!!!

Razzoo to dance some more. It’s one of the only places on Bourbon that plays hip hop and pop, and has a nice big dance floor. After seemingly hours of dancing we had to commemorate our first day in New Orleans… NOLA Jazz Festival 2007! |
