Rathlena Guesthouse Saint Ives Reviews
A cosy place at the top of St Ives Apr 10, 2009
This B&B with 3 rooms is located on the hill above St Ives. It's about a 5-10 min walk to the centre & good exercise walking back up! That being said, it has beautiful views out to the sea with the beach and lighthouse in the distance.
We stayed in Room 2, which was very light and airy with big windows facing the sea and double doors onto a balcony facing the garden with sea views when you are standing outside. It is a big room with king-size bed, TV and a massage chair which although sounds tacky was a treat!
The bathroom was large in faux-Vistorian style with a bathtub with feet and Molton Brown toiletries.
Each of the 3 rooms have a different style, ours was faux-Victorian green & pink. Not really our taste but suited the place.
The breakfasts were very big. Traditional english, plus cereal, toast etc. Breakfast was served strictly at 9am and you had to eat at a 6-seater dining room table with the other people staying at the B&B.
The gardens were beautiful. The service was professional with lots of recommendations and tips for the local area.
