Ram's Head Disley Reviews
A bit slow in service, but a good meal Sep 01, 2009
Ram’s Head is a bar/restaurant in Disley not far from the train station right next to the bus stop. I stopped in hear because I liked the name, “Ram’s Head”. It was not at all what I was expecting when I stepped inside. I expected a rustic looking pub kind of place and was rather surprised to see a very nice and appealing restaurant.
I was fortunate that the rain had held off until just minutes after I had sat down to eat. The Ram’s Head has an appealing looking outdoor patio for seating on nice days, but this wasn’t a nice day.
For dinner I had a burger. It was good as far as burgers go, but I’ve often found it difficult to do a bad burger.
I wasn’t terribly impressed with the service. I thought I had plenty of time to catch my train, but my order was slow to be taken, the burger took much longer than I’d expected a burger to take, and by the time I finally got my bill I was pushing it to get to the train, which I made only after running to it.
