Ramayana Cafe Bucharest Reviews
Red, red, red! Oct 04, 2012
Ramayana Cafe is the place where Indian culture meets the western world in a nice blend between a Maharaja's bedroom, exotic products and music.
It's the perfect place for day dreaming, secrets sharing:) and also perfect for a romantic atmosphere and chillout by night. The downside is its inconvenient location as it`s not in the city centre but on a creepy street around the main rail-station, hard to find.
The cafe itself can be very crowded and if you don't make a reservation, you have a good chance not to find a free table. The decor is impressive, mostly with Indian ornaments and even the waitresses are dressed in traditional Indian dresses.
Ramayana Café is expensive compared to similar places in Bucharest, but they have very good teas, delicious sweets, good hookah pipes and lots of cocktails and coffee specialities. The place has also free wi-fi so you can navigate on internet while enjoying your drink or smoke your hookah. Still I think they have to improve the quality of ventilation as the smoke is sometimes overwhelming!
On the exit door is stick a poster saying: “If your service was excellent, please ring the bell!”. Well, the service was good (no excellent) but we still did ring the bell!:)
