Rama Garden Hotel Bali Reviews
"Great access to everything" Sep 07, 2011
Rama Gardens hotel is in Legian area. Being on one of the main roads it is handy to beaches,restaurants,clubs,bars & transport. The rooms are good sized but dominated by the firm, netted king size bed. (No need to worry about mozzies while you catch ZZzzz's) The en-suite is a little dated but unless your drunk you don't have to sleep in there hey.
Rama has a good pool and the surrounds are kept immaculate. Staff are pleasant and helpful at all times and will bring you anything you desire. The presence of 24 hour security leave one confident.
Rama is geared toward Aussies with a love for sports. All AFL games are covered live on big screen or large TV's near the bar and restaurant area. With a turn of the head you can see each screen.
Expect to get hassled by the usual touts on the street. Though next door to a reliable hassle free money changer in 7/11 type store.
The boys on the corner with their motor bikes will take you anywhere or rent you a bike for the day for $5 Aussie. The beach is a 5 minute walk to the end of the street or I used to walk the beach to Kuta most mornings in 30 minutes.
Service is impeccable in Rama but I had a bad experience with loosing money to a tour tout who they let enter the bar area and pool deck. You get that in Bali! Hell I even got ripped off with having to bribe a guard to get out of the airport when our flight was delayed by 5 hours.
Just as I was leaving I found out Rama is about to renovate so you might pick up an extra bargain if you don't mind waking early.

kinda scary but good enough since our stay was free Jun 16, 2009
We were given free accomodations by our club membership so of course we tried it! Th place was ok good location and friendly staff.. But we were scared one night coz someone was loudly knocking at our door and wouldnt say who he was.. Good thing we had double locks.. The room was ok very comfy beds but the bathroom was not so nice.. The shower was broken it was too hot i think there was something wrong with the heater.. And it was a bit old and dirty.. if we were given a choice to staty here again and pay we will not go back.. We only stayed there as i said coz it was free

Quiet, Clean & Comfy May 31, 2008
This is a small quiet Balinese style hotel on a busy street, former Jalan Padma (Padma Street). The location is good, you can walk only 5 minutes to the beach, its near a mini market, tour agent, some clothing and DVD stores, hotels and restaurants.
The room is clean and big with:
* Air-condition unit in each room(with remote)
* Comfy Balinese style bed
* Comfy cushion chairs
* A mini-refrigerator
* A safe deposit box
* 29 inch LCD TV
* A DVD player.
I also like the bathroom setup, the sink and mirror are in the bedroom which makes it nice if you want to do your make-up while another is using the other facilities. They have rooms with queen or king size beds as well as twin beds(two seperate beds).
Each room has a terrace so you can sit there and enjoy the quiet environment and the pool view. It has a sports café at the front side of the hotel, playing rugby games on large screen TVs everyday, so you can find many Australians here.
I love staying here as the staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast is very good also. I recommend this place, but you need to book before you come here as most of the time its fully booked upon arrival.
BTW = I give my ratings based on what I expected for the price I paid.
I could not fit all photos of the Hotel on this review, and not all the info as well, so if your are looking at this seperate from my blog, perhaps consider checking out my:
