Rajasthan Desert Safari Camp Jaisalmer

Rajasthan Desert Safari Camp is located at the Sam Sand dunes on the edge of the Desert National Park.
The Sam Sand dunes is Jaisalmer's Sahara-like desert, with huge, silky, undulating folds of sand and green plants.

The accommodation consists of luxury tents with attached permanent baths. You still have to remember that you are in a tentaccomodation so don't expect the same luxury as a hotelaccomodation. Meaning there are no fans, airco, tv etc, but you can charge your batteries! Cleaness is good as it can get in a desert. Personally I founded bathroom oké, but it is not very luxury. There was no upper spray so I had to use the lower spray. It is then better to fill up the bucket and wash yourself in Indian style (make yourself wet, soap in and then throw again water over yourself). During our stay there was no hot water.
Don't forget that during the daytime it is very hot and during the nighttime it can become very cold.
Because it was so hot still when I went to bed, I decide to sleep outside the tentaccomodation. If you like to do that aswell watch out for all the mosquitos, so spread yourself good with DEET.

The staff is friendly and very helpfull but not all of them can speak proper English.
The service is very good. The food had a average taste.
In the evening you'll get for diner a buffet which contents veg and non-veg Indian dishes.
There is live music and dance performances by the "Mangnibar" tribe.

It is nice to have experienced a tentaccomodation in the desert here but it was to luxury for my kind of taste. I prefer a real tent in the middle of the Thar desert, so very nice basic!
