Rainforest Canopy Tour
Rainforest Canopy Tour Reviews
Dec 28, 2004If you're in Costa Rica and checking out the rain forests, definitely take a canopy tour. Basically, you get to ride a ski-lift type contraption up through the canopy of the rain forest, gliding along a cable one-hundred feet off the ground. Unlike the dense, tangled growth occupying the ground level of the rainforest, the canopy is leafy and airy. The canopy is also the home to much of the life in the rainforest and indeed the world, housing literally millions of different species of animals and plants. Unfortunately, the number of actual animals you may see on your short tour has a lot to do with chance. For most of the ride, all we saw was a variety of trees and greenery, perpetually shrouded by mist and rain. Although the vegetation was still pretty spectacular, it was not quite the menagerie of exotic animals I was hoping for. We did however see a giant toucan perched upon a tree in the distance, its appearance made all the more striking because its vivid colors contrasted so heavily with the green surrounding it. I would like to return again at another time to get a better glimpse of the diversity of life here. Part of the Panama Canal and Costa Rica travel blog |

The Ciros Bar comes up trumps again. This is my first bar experience of Central American football and it was fun. The score could quite easily of been 4-1 (and writing this after 6 Imperials is not as easy as I thought it might be...)&nb…… Saprissa (Costa Rica) 1 - 0 Victoria (Honduras) |

I´ve decided I like this place. Yes, it is really security conscious. People who have ever lived in Liverpool will recognise the anti-theft measures of copious metal bars, razorwire and broken glass cemented along the tops of walls. Yes…… A few words on the capital |
