Rainbow Springs have been involved with the kiwi recovery programmer since 1995 with the arrival of a kiwi egg that had been abandoned. Up to that point all the eggs that had been incubated at Rainbow Springs were from the captive breeding birds.
Rainbow springs, is a place where you can feed that animals, fill up the bottle with the spring water, feeds the trouts, feeds the hens, you can feeds all the animals you see all long the ways. It's fun!
We are supposed to look for the kiwi, but all the kiwi are sleeping during day time. There's the advantages of going to Rainbow Spring, you have buy their 1days ticket and you can return back to the rainbow spring at night and look for the kiwi's but we're not able to do so. Because we're too tired to do so, yet we need to drive few miles away from the hotel we stayed.
it is a really good experience. But the trouts doesn't give me a very good image, haha, coz their look too ugly! and look sooo fierce!
