I layed down for a bit in my room and when I got up again there was noone there! I was like wtf. Then I went into the boys ses pit of a room and Dick and Macca were in there. I was like umm where did they go? They said they went to get a feed but they forgot me! Jerks. They came back a little while late...

I've done it at last....14,000 feet, 65 seconds freefall........Words cant describe this was amazing, I got picked up at 10 in the morning, Rachel came with me, got kitted out in the harness and up we go in a 1 seater plane, it must of taken about 20 mins to get up to 14,000 feet with a great view of Rainbow Beach, its called this because the cliffs are rainbow colour, the ocean and Fraser Island, funnily enough I wasnt nervous until he opened the door, there was a gush of cold air and then I...

On my birthday we had booked to do some kayaking with dolphins. We had left a few days between our canoe safari and the kayaking to allow our arms to recover, but I had noticed with some amusement and slight concern that holding the goon box for any extended amount of time on Fraser had caused my arm to ache still. We were picked up from the hostel and driven far down Rainbow Beach until the beach swings round to form a little spit in front of itself. I was glad of this walk, since I had want...

Flew into Sydney on 3/12/05 on a Years Working Holiday Visa, where I travelled the whole East Coast of Australia in a Campervan with Two Top Guys from N'Ireland. Finished off our Trip working in a Gold Mine in Meekatharra, WA where we made mega bucks, we broke even at the end of our trip. From here, we flew out to Bangkok to start a South East Asia experience.

After a day in Brisbane I started my OzExperience journey north up the East Coast of Oz - first stop was Rainbow Beach to spend a few days and head over to Fraser Island.
Rainbow Beach is fairly small but there's stuff to do if you look for it though it helps to have a 4WD vehicle (find yourself a friendly local, much cheaper than a hire car ;-)). Definite highlights were my surfing lesson (no photos for evidence but I was catching those waves and standing up like a pro, or something!) ...

We reached Rainbow Beach and our hostel named 'Dingos' at around 7pm after a not too long 5 hour bus journey (at least the bus stop was right ouside our hostel). We were way to tired to do anything of note that night so, after some dinner and a few phonecalls home, we headed for bed.
We had a meeting the next afternoon to be put into groups for our Fraser Island adventure the next day and a briefing about do's and don'ts when on the island (we were self guided when on Fraser so knowing abou...
