Once you get out of Bangkok, Thailand is a beautiful country full of friendly faces, nice beaches and good partys. I stayed in the south visited Koh Phangan, Krabi, Railey Beach, Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Phuket. I found Koh Lanta to be the most relaxing, laid back. which was a very nice break after the full moon party and all the crowds in Phi Phi. Koh Lanta also had the best swimming beach in my opinion.

10 am, Krabi AirportI feel tired and a bit unwell today, although this is my first sunny day in Krabi Province. It is my last full day in Thailand, as I fly out of Bangkok tomorrow to head toward Honolulu. Homeward bound. After I went back to my room last evening, I showered and got ready to go out to dinner. I was hoping to not eat alone, and my friend who I had met while sitting on my porch earlier happened to walk by again and invited me for a drink. Perfect. E…

Just some pics of beaches around the world. Maybe some double up with pics I have already posted, but you can't get enough of a good beach in my opinion!

after a crazy 15 hour bus ride, i arrived in krabi with two temporary partners in crime - thommo (an archaeologist from england) and hannah (a sweet lil 19 year old aussie girl), who had done the trek down from chang mai together...thommo convinced us to join him on railay beach and i am so, so happy that my travel sense had kicked in enough to say 'fuck plans' and just go... on the longtail boat that took us to railay, i slipped fully and completely into my travel head - which is lik…

Greetings travelers and travel readers! I am not exactly sure where the Asian winds will be taking me, but I have from today, Jan 4, 2008 through April 25 (or when my money runs out) to tour around. Please pop in and see what shenanigans and adventures have come my way.

Last night's Muay Thai was really interesting. Yikes though...they are vicious! There were teens that fought first and then the adults but they looked almost the same size. It was great but My-Van and I were so exhausted....we only made it to the 8th match and then headed off to bed. That was the match everyone was waiting for so I don't think we missed too much.
Today, we woke up bright and early to go rock climbing. First, a vehicle picked us up and we took a …

I was up early to make up for yesterday and to make the most of
my last real day of my trip. I walked the 30 minutes over to Ton Tai
beach but found the tide in so far there was no beach. I therefore
spent my time exploring some of the caves in the area and marvelling at
the guys who were climbing the 100ft rocks that hung out over the sea.
I spent the entire morning over on this side of the island and only
returned to have lunch to ensure i was not late for the boat. Railay
has…
