A challenge well worth taking Jun 12, 2011
We went to Raggaschlucht quite early into the Austrian part of our mini euro trip. We paid about 6 euro to get in. It begins, its quite small to start off with but it quickly gets quite steep. and in some places you have to hold onto the fixed wires for dear life, but its thrilling. Its a bit of a nightmare getting photos as it was really wet and we kept slipping on the soaking we wooden walkaways, but it was worth all the effort. You could get up close to the edges here (despite all the safety warning signs) and you could enjoy the lovely rushing water and the amazing sounds that it was making. The Raggaschlucht wasnt advertised very much anywhere, but we could see why as it was so lovely that it probably didnt need it. The walk up to the main waterfall was quite long as we were taking loads of photos on the way, but once there is was lovely to look at. We then carried on to the top where we were greeted by amzing views of the surrounding areas. The trek down was just as scary as it was really steep and not much to hold onto. But thr trek down was through normal wooded areas so it was pretty to look out, it was also cool because I got a good workout out here!

I would go back here again in years to come and if you love waterfalls and just general pretty things then id recommend it, but take a waterproof jacket as you may get wet!
