When I planned out my Spain trip in September of 2007 I also planned a follow on trip to the UK. I wasn't able to get e-tickets for my flight so I booked a hotel room in Madrid to have my tickets sent to. I didn't do as much research as I should have done and as a result there was not much within walking distance to see.
The hotel was nice, but not in a tourist area. If you are looking to go to Madrid for a vacation, I would not recommend this hotel. I walked into the hotel wearing jeans, a button up shirt, and carrying my travel bag. I received a few glances from the staff for this. A suit and brief case were the norm here apparently. |
