Radisson Blu Resort Taba Reviews
Not recommended. May 13, 2008
I wasn’t much pleasantly surprised of this hotel. That’s because I firstly tried hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, where the sea, night life and everything about is much better than in Taba. People recommend go firstly to Taba to do some good trips to Jordan and Israel (location of this hotel is really good for these trips) and then go to Sharm or Hurghada for luxurious holiday.
As I said, sea wasn’t so full of fishes and so. It also wasn’t so fresh. There was no bridges to sea, you should take some water shoes there.
Food was ok, but everyday it was the same. I remember some health difficulties because of the food. But nothing special, usual problems for tourist in Egypt.
In fact I was there in May 2008 and our room wasn’t much clean, some things was broken and so.

Just back from the Radisson SAS Taba. The hotel was rather isolated and all entertainment and food centred in the hotel grounds. Travelled with two friends and all we were after was a week of rest and relaxation... Check in was quick and organised. The room was very nice and well equiped with a lovely veranda..
We had booked to stay here as it seemed a good base to do some excursions to israel and Jordan.. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was an animation team based at the hotel who kept everyone entertained from aqua aerobics to volleyball. Even in the evenings there were things to do. They had a comedy show at the ampitheatre one night which was the silliest and most funny thing I had seen for ages.. There is a bar and a club on site and as it is an all inclusive hotel everything free until 11pm.. Also a show which had 'Tiger' the animation team boss lying on a bed of nails, walking on glass etc. that was also good. We all had massages which were very relaxing at the beauty club situated at the ampitheatre.. the food was ok a bit repetitive but nice enough. There is an a la carte reasturant but not that much better than the buffet, just waiter service and nice tablecloths..Our rep julie was not that helpful, she actually ignored us and gave us misleading advice. Went on an excursion to Jeruslaem and the dead sea, brilliant day. Had to get up at 3am though. Dead sea was an amazing experience.. the border crossing between Taba and Israel was a chore, lots of standing about and questions from security.. Well worth it.. Jerusalem was great, our tour guide was brilliant and made you feel safe at all times. He collected us at the Israeli border and helped us through security . The sites in jerusalem were out of this world, the western wall, the mount of olives, etc. we flew back to Eilat from Ben gurion airport in jerusalem accompanied by our guide all the way. Do take money with you on this trip (rep advised 5 dollars each) which was wrong as we paid 12 dollars each for lunch... this trip was about £110, money well spent.
A great holiday .
nice hotel Dec 02, 2007
Stayed at the radisson in taba with two of my friends for a week of rest and relaxation.
Holiday was all inclusive food was nice and buffet style , there was an al la carte restarount which only differred in that you had to book , it was quiter , offered italian and was waiter service , but both buffet and al la carte where of a good standard. Buffet was always busy and like any where you go you will get people pushing thruogh the ques.
The reason that i have rated the location so low is that it was in the middle of nowhere and not really any opertunities to venture out of complex unless you were on a tour.
The hotel was spotless aswith the pool and poolside , which was continually be monitored for litter , and you were not allowed to eat at the pool side.
Daily activities were on offer tho the entertainment team did get on your nerves at time to take part , we where there just for relaxing.
There are shops on site and just up the drive of the hotel grounds but i would not reccomend you buy anything from them as they are a rip off and poor quality , but shopkeepers very persausive at times.also there is no pharmacy so take basics.
There is a bank in the hotel but not very reliable and it took us over a day to get money out , so its advisable you take plently of money in the form of dollers . egyption and for jerusalem you may need dollars and sheckles.
Two large double beds where provided with the third being a camp bed but instead of a duvet on small bed it was a hairy blanket.
Bathroom was clean , towels could have been replaced more often and shower a bit tempremental.
Generally it was a nice holiday with no big complaints ideal if you just want to sit back and relax.
