Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah

I spent 10 days in this hotel.
Rooms are antique. The furniture and the bathroom is 1970s American classic and smelly. The hotel is located right next to a busy harbour and and oil platform. So if you are ok to swim in a brownish oil rich sea, this beach should be your choice.
I should mention the unique sarcasm and unprofessionality of the front desk. Especially if you are from a CIS country, you should choose from unpoliteness of Russian, Philippino receptionist and unique blunt rudeness of arabic receptionists.
It doesnt matter you prepay thousands of dollars, or you have some civilised means of securing your spendings like credits card or cash, they confiscate your passport. You need to ask for it and then you understand that it is held in exchange for your spendings, because nobody simply will bother to explain you.
The hotel air conditioners are uniquely fixed below 15 celcius, so 4 out 5 got sick second day. So you better bring your winterware to a all summer weather location, because literally the hotel inner environment is a refrigerator.
There is no tea. iron or any other 5 star like service in the room. So don't expect something like a complimentary drink, candy or fruit. Furthermore you will be charged for every cup of drink that you consume (even you get an all inclusive deal).
The only good side is the falls restaurant, which I enjoyed every meal. Also indian and phillipino staff of restaurant are very attentive and polite.
Also another srangeness is that you never see any manager around. They just dont bother.
My overall comment is, this is a 2 star hotel with a 5 star restaurant. So you better find yourself an other one.
