Radisson Blu Hotel Tallinn Reviews
Great location! Aug 21, 2012
My favorite part of this place is that my room was a smoking room! I hate staying on a high floor ( I think i was on the 14th floor here ) and having to go outside to smoke... Don't judge me!
This hotel is in a great location... About an 8 to 11 min. walk to Old Town which was so easy to find, i found it on accident just by walking around, the big groups of people helped lead the way, too, though! Within a 5 min. walk from the hotel there were a few "fast-food" places, a couple night clubs, a few pubs/bars and a casino was basically right across the street. Viru Mall was also about a 5 min. walk.
The hotel is a very tall building, looked like one of the tallest around for sure, and it was a lovely glass building, like most Radisson Blu hotels seem to be. > : ^ )
Inside the lobby was nice and clean with friendly staff awaiting to help with checking-in.
The room wasn't super special, but it was nice with plenty of room to move around. The window was large over looking part of the city ( not Old Town ) and i could see some of sea from the room as well. The bed was a queen i believe but other than the size it wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad at all, i slept well on it for sure. The bathroom and wasn't mind-blowing but it wasn't bad either. It had a stand-up shower which as i've said plenty, i love. Room service was quick and friendly and the food was good.
I only had breakfast one morning, after coming in after the sun was on it's way up, i asked the front desk when breakfast was starting, and the lady, trying to hold back a smile, informed me that it had just started ( i felt like an ass, but it was funny ). The breakfast was pretty standard... cold cuts, bread, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, fresh fruits, very good quality of food i'd say.
All in all, i like this hotel, mostly for the location, and not loud even with being close to everything.
If you're looking for a cheap stay, this probably isn't the hotel for you, but if you prefer a little nicer of a place, then i'd say give this Radisson Blu a try, i don't think you'd be let down, although not blown away either.
