Radisson Blu Hotel Indore Reviews
Diamond in the Rough Aug 11, 2014
Wow - Talk about a diamond in the rough. I recently travelled to Indore, India for business. Now, I've travelled all over India and have seen the exotic beauty that it has to offer, but seriously, there is not much to see in Indore. It is a very dismal and dirty working city. Now I am as adventurous as the best of them, but there are no decent hotels in Indore that would have suited my standards EXCEPT this one. The Radisson Blu, Indore was a great place to call home, if only for 10 days. As soon as you enter the grounds, you can feel the security and see the cleanliness of the facility. The customer service experienced from every single employee was comparable to the world's best hotels - top notch. The hotel bar was spacious and well stocked with just about anything you could possibly want - a nice place to wind down after a long day at work. There is only 1 restaurant, but it is good. It has a fantastic breakfast buffet and the lunch and dinner buffet have some staples, but some things change from day to day. They also have plenty of western items to chose from if you don't want to eat just Indian food, or you can order from their a la carte menu too if you chose. I though the food quality was very good, the service was excellent and the prices were extremely fair. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is superior and the rooms are a very nice size and are equipped with everything you need to work - Internet connection - and to keep you busy - large flat screen TV with cable. If you like to work out while you are on the road, the Radisson is equipped with a great gym - way better than I ever expected - and a really nice roof-top swimming pool. The views from the all-glass wall in the gym are less than desirable, but I was definitely not complaining. They had everything I needed for a good on-the-road-maintenance workout: treadmills, elliptical machines, dumbbells and a few full body machines. Overall, I rate this hotel very high. If my business travels ever bring me back through Indore, I will DEFINITELY stay here again. Update: Following a second stay during June 2014, the Radisson Blu now has a second restaurant (Asian) on the premises. See my seperate review for Ni Hao.
