Radisson Blu Hotel Frankfurt Frankfurt am Main Reviews
Not the cheapest, not the best location but still a good Hotel Jul 31, 2011
### Location ###
The Radisson Blu is located in one of the western districts of Frankfurt but still somewhat central. Actually Frankfurt's public transportation system covers even suburban areas with S- and U-Trains (both metro, but "S" is also regional) but the location of Radisson Blu is one of those few that you can only reach by Tramline. This isn't a problem though, its just that you'd probably have to transfer every now and then when visiting any major sides. With the tram you can directly go to the Central Station ("Hauptbahnhof") and make your way from there. You can alternatively go on a 10-Minute walk to "Frankfurt West"-Station which serves the S-Trains.
The Hotel is perfectly located for Fair-Visitors though, its just a little walk away (cause the Frankfurt-Fair is a very big area).
The surrounding area has some restaurants (that district is rather new and called City-West) but theres nothing else, its kinda lost :)
Its also directly connected to the highway, so if you arrive by car you will be fine, cause it has free parking lots.
### Amenities ###
They have a little pool in one of the upper floors where you can see the skyline from, which is a highlight. Its very small though, so if there are other people you don’t know it might be a little too small to feel comfortable! You'll also find some fitness equipment and machines there aswell as a sauna. The sauna and pool area is connected, so you can directly go through. The hotel provides bathrobes that you can use to go up there, means you don’t have to take anything from your room.
### Restaurant ###
The restaurant had a nice design and the breakfast was rich of tasteful things. They had some problems with our reservation though, but those were solved quickly.
### Room ###
We had a standard-room which was well designed (as the rest of the hotel). It was clean and big - sadly the hotel was built the way, that you can not see the skyline, regardless of the site you have your room on. One side goes onto the highway, the other is directed to the Taunus Mountain Range (which is better at least :)). But they couldn’t have provided the nice feature of swimming in the pool while viewing the skyline when they had built the hotel in any other direction :-) Well I actually don’t know at all, I might be wrong, cause maybe the suites go in the same direction as the pool area (just at the bottom of it) and therefore provide a good view aswell. But I’m not sure, you should ask that when booking.
The room had a flatscreen, internet, a safe and minibar. But be careful with that, its not an ordinary minibar, its a hightech one =D If you grab something from it just to have a look at it and put it back, it gets automatically put on your bill, cause theres a sensor in the bar (you dont have to pay though).
The bath was very cool, theres a window from where you can look to the bed when showering (and the opposite ^^).

nice hotel Aug 08, 2011
The rooms are good and clean. Nice bathroom and the beds are good. It's quiet in the hotel, so you can sleep late. The interior of the hotel looks also very nice and modern. I didn't like the location of the hotel, it's not in the centre, and there's not much to do around the hotel. But for about 15 to 20 euro's you can take a taxi to the city centre. The staff of the hotel is friendly and they speak english. There's a nice swimming pool in the hotel and a gym. The breakfast was really nice, there is a lot of choice.
