Radisson Blu Eu Hotel Brussels

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city centre. It is 100 meters from Place de la Monnaie which is the centre of one of the best walking and shopping streets in the central Brussels. You are only 5 min walk from Grand Place or the old fish market at Place Sainte Catherine where you will find some of the best fish restaurants in the city.

The hotel does not look of much from the outside but is quiet bright and open when you enter it. The rooms are nice and relaxing and you will find them up to high end of the usual SAS Radisson level.

If you are taking a taxi from the airport you will probably be charged between 33-40 euro depending of the detour or the traffic of the day. You can also take the train and get off at the central station and walk for 5-10 min and then you get there for less than 5 euro.

Just around the hotel you will find some nice place like Belga Queen (Restaurant), Mort Subite (drinks – one of my favourite places in town, try the Grimbergen Blonde) and you will find the Royal Gallery (nice walk when it rain).

At hotel the reception will give you some good advice as well on where to go, I have always found them useful. The staff is in general kind and friendly.

During the last year I have stayed in about 2 dozen different hotels East of the centre in Brussels. The Radisson SAS definitely has the nicest room, spacious and very colourful! I think I got a slightly larger room than regular though, as it was my first time there and I have a frequent guest number. The room also had both bath and shower.

The hotel has free wireless internet everywhere, and a decent fitness room with sauna (not many points for that one, as it only fits 2, and is fitted between the showers/toilets of the fitness, no place to relax in between shower and sauna either).

Unfortunately hotels in this price class charge too much for breakfast, it simply cannot be worth 27 euro.
