Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel Stavanger Reviews
A good option in Stavanger Aug 06, 2011
Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel is located in the centre of Stavanger, right in font of a man made pond. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out have always been very efficient.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and have had a variety of different rooms, from big double rooms to tiny single rooms. A normal double room is medium sized and has the most important facilities. WI-FI is free and there is a mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities and an old TV with a variety of channels and films. If you don´t have your own laptop, there is a small business centre on the first floor. Not sure if you have to pay for internet access.
The bathroom is rather small. Most rooms have a walk in shower only, but I have also had rooms with a tub. They are all decorated with white tiles. There are also a few amenities like lotion, shampoo, shower cap etc. Both the room and bathroom have been nice and clean.
The highlight of a stay at the Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel is their breakfast buffet. It has a large selection of both hot and cold choices, cold cut, vegetables, as well as bread, rolls and pastry. They also offer some soya and gluten free products. There is also a restaurant on the first floor, which serves dinner, and a nice bar/library.
The only thing they don’t have is a fitness room. Right outside the hotel there is a taxi stand and the airport bus stops right in front of the main entrance.
If you need a place to stay in Stavanger, Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel is a good choice.

Very Expensive, not too modern cold room Jun 15, 2011
I was at the Radisson Blu, Atlantic for 2 nights from June 6th to 7th 2011. From Stavanger Airport, just go out of the door turn right and get on the “Flubus”, this is about 23 NOK reurn, the good thing is that it stops literally right outside the hotel (and most other hotels in the city centre)
My room was pricy, 1750 NOK per night, but some Norwegians that I met advised me that this was quite cheap!!!!!
The room was not the best I had stayed in, it was quite small, uncomfortable bed, old style TV, the aircon would not heat the room, but it was quiet and have a beautiful view overlooking the lake.
I did not eat in any of the hotel restaurants as there were dozens of nice places to eat in town – just 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel and cheaper too, but still vry expensive (at least for a Brit!! An average meal was about 500NOK, with a beer costing about maybe 110NOK, or £10 or $16 USD – terrible!!
But, the hotel was in a fine location, the staff were helpful and friendly, it was nice to walk around the lake after a meal and drink (good way to remove the stress of paying so much for a normal meal, although there are McDonalds and Burger King nearby if you wish. Apparently this is the largest hotel in Stavanger, but I would not stay there again as I saw better looking places nearby (although there were most likely more expensive!!
