Those in any way interested or amused by talk of aliens should count Rachel, Nevada among their first stops on the quest for first contact. Situated on the Extraterrestrial Highway (Hwy 375) it is surrounded by desert and mountain ranges. At the height of its popularity, Rachel (named after the first baby born in the town) boasted some 500 inhabitants, although the population now stands at only 54 humans (although the welcoming sign boasts 98 humans and ?? aliens). The true total of extraterrestrial inhabitants has yet to be confirmed.

What makes Rachel a must see travel stop is its only remaining business, the Little A'Le'Inn, a restaurant and bar packed from floor to ceiling with alien paraphernalia. With Rachel situated next to the Nellis Air Force Base Range and just 27 miles from Area 51, its reputation as an alien hotspot has dubbed it the UFO Capital of the World, bringing visitors from all over the globe hoping to catch a glimpse of something other wordly as they pass through.
