Rableng London Reviews
Rableng May 12, 2010
Rableng is a small Thai restaurant close to the Almeida theatre in Islington. I like it very much.
The food was fresh and tasty, and didn't seem to have anything artificial in it. This is obviously the most important reason I like the restaurant. I was impressed with the lightness of the Pad Thai sauce. Just as good, there were free Prawn Crackers whilst I waited. The waitress also brought me a glass of water with my wine without being asked - the fuss some places make when you order tap water is incredible and it was great not to have to even mention it.
The staff are friendly and the service is good.
The restaurant itself is airy, with light walls and a high ceiling, and a big window to the front. There are nice Thai prints on the walls and dark wood tables and chairs, but the decor is neither overwhelming nor poncy.
I had one main course and a glass of wine for £10.90. The service was prompt enough where I was never worried about being late for the play I was going to see and I am really impressed
