Such a pleasant place to stay in the heart of downtown for a traveler on a budget. Breakfast served in room every morning by delightful staff. Shared bathrooms. Only drawback was the lack of hot water for bath---this seems to be the case most places in England. This B & B is mere doors down from JRR Tolkiens former residence (at one time)before his death--- 50 St Johns Street.

Took a day trip out to Oxford. Loads of history: academic and otherwise. Plenty of tourists, but a much different vibe than London. I would LOVE to have went to school there.… Oxford |
