Quinn's Lighthouse Restaurant and Pub Oakland Reviews
Warm dining by the water Dec 22, 2010
Quinn’s restaurant was an historic old light house built in 1890. It has two dining areas, the upstairs; throw the peanuts on the floor pub and the main floor casual dining. There is a lot of history here, so check out their website and learn more about this historical landmark.
The atmosphere is very laid-back and it's a nice place to have a comfortable meal and a great conversation with friends. We sat next large windows which overlooked boats docked at the marina. The staff was very nice and not to overly attentive. The manager came by the table and offered jokes and made us feel very welcome. Our waitress was on it good this evening. She made sure our plates were perfect. The seafood dishes here taste fresh and came in very good sized portions. Our waitress went as far as having some special veggies put on my plate. That was very good.
The food was very delicious. Everything was as we ordered and looked almost too good to eat. They have a very extensive menu which can tend to overwhelm you if you have not gone in with an idea of what you would like to eat. . I went for the salmon wellington. I was hesitant because I hate overcooked fish. This was cooked perfectly. Everything was just right.
The restrooms were small, but clean and the floors were in good shape as well.
The prices are very reasonable and the food and atmosphere are worth it.
