Quin Vacation Guide

Quin (Cuinche, meaning "strawberry tree", in Irish) is a nice village in south-east County Clare in Ireland. The town's main attraction, Quin Abbey. The abbey was built on the foundations of an earlier castle, and the foundations of its corner towers can still be seen.

We wanted to attend a banquet (touristy, but then again, aren't we?) but it was pretty spendy and we just couldn't seem to summon the energy. However, in Quin we visited this restore castle, Knappogue, prior to the evening banquet.
